LP Artwork: Carol Sloane Live at 30th Street

Recorded in concert at 30th Street, New York - the famous recording studio purchased by Columbia Records in the late 1940s. With its 100' high ceilings, the acoustics were surprisingly intimate on this rare recording by a young Carol Sloan.

The studio - nicknamed The Church - would play home to sessions for jazz, classical and pop artists including Leonard Bernstein (West Side Story Broadway Cast Album), Pink Floyd (The Wall), Miles Davis (Kind of Blue), Percy Faith (Theme from A Summer Place) and Billie Holiday (Lady In Satin).

Despite its illustrious history, it was pulled down in 1985 to make way for an apartment building.
