LP Artwork: Sunshine of Your Love

The opening track in this week's edition of Todd's Turntable is Ella Fitzgerald's cover of the Cream rock group's hit, Sunshine of Your Love, recorded in October 1968.

It was a concert performance from the Venetian Room of the famous Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Unusually, producer Norman Granz edited out practically all of the applause and any chat.

The album was released by MPS Records and also Polydor with a later CD release on Verve. Here's a selection of the different artwork used for various issues including the eye-catchingly bright yellow, red and green original.
