LP Artwork: The Hi-Lo's Happen to Bossa Nova

The Hi-Lo's were an a cappella singing group founded in 1953 who went on to enjoy considerable chart success and critical acclaim. In many ways, the forerunners to The Manhattan Transfer, Take Six, etc.

I love the cover artwork for this release. The group recorded two albums for Reprise between 1962 and '63, both with the 'happen to' tag - the other being The Hi-Lo's Happen to Folk Songs with some great arrangements by Billy May.

There does appear to be an error on the LP label as the album was definitely released in 1963, not 1961 (the year in which Frank Sinatra launched Reprise Records).
