LP Artwork: Philadelphia

It's the first time I've included a Neil Young track on Todd's Turntable, and it has to be one of the most hauntingly sad songs ever written. The plaintive, yet resigned delivery is amazingly effective.

Released in 1993 on the soundtrack album for the groundbreaking film, Philadelphia, it was going to be the theme song for the opening titles. However, on hearing the melancholic song for the first time, the director, Jonathan Demme, switched it to the ending.
